2022: A NEW WORLD, A NEW WAY OF BEING
Hello Beautiful Souls,
As we step into a new year, it’s mind-blowing to look back and reflect on the personal and collective changes occurring. I have always identified with fast-forward movement, blazing new trails, the elements of fire and air, and yet I recognize the need to slow way down to speed up the evolution of my soul. That might look like balancing this passionate feisty fire energy by slipping into a salty bath with some stones and crystals for grounding and reflection. It is about loving my humanness with radical compassion through the eyes of the Divine, who is right there with me, inside me.
As a long-time observer and student of consciousness, there’s part of me geeking the F out, elated we’re being forced to awaken while another part of me is horrified at what’s occurring such as the huge death toll, natural disasters from climate change, and our inability to love one another despite our differences. This non-dual, paradoxical state of the world is ripe with the gifts of shadow work, dark goddess work. I am learning, alongside the 13 Moons Priestess Path cohort, how freeing our work together can be. Even if it can be uncomfortable and at times seemingly unbearable. We must evolve and come fully into our power.
To be clear: I’m talking about how we want to BE instead of what we want to accomplish. Our January guest teacher in the 13 Moons cohort, Janet Tuck, invited us to journal about how we wanted to BE in 2022. I was thrilled with this question because it was so Divinely Feminine! Instead of a checklist of things to manifest although I have that too, I invited in being more patient, playful, heart-centered, open, and joyful. Those are some New Year’s intentions I can get behind because they allow me to be the best version of myself and see what unfolds.
I understand this path isn’t for everyone. As we shed our old skins, what was previously unseen or unknown is revealed to us. Our souls are being pushed along and we paradoxically move forward and evolve by slowing down and listening to the voice of the soul, the inner Source of Divine Guidance. As we stand here on the precipice of an all-new landscape, we must ask the question: how do we want to create this new world for ourselves and future generations?
Say yes to yourself. Say yes to removing those barriers that keep you stuck. We know what resonates and we can trust it. If it doesn’t go well, the purpose is to teach us something. I’ve had to learn some things the hard way and there’s no shame in that. Some lessons are more gracefully learned than others.
What would it be like to be able to trust what comes through and base your actions on what the soul desires for you? One thing I see happening in the 13 Moons Priestess Path cohort is the validation of one another’s intuitive perceptions. These clear and potent validations and synchronicities add up to building trust in ourselves, each other, and the Guidance. The more we validate, the more we trust, allowing more to come through. What comes through is sometimes NOT what we want to hear so we might file it away for later or forget about it until it comes through again, and again. This is Guidance trying to give you the next steps, clues to the next steps.
We are creating a radically different reality and getting lots of instructions but only if we’re listening. I don’t mean that in the typical “new age” sense of creating your reality. What I mean is that through immanence we bring the Divine/Spirit into matter/physical, through the Mother (literal birth), into our physical bodies, into our lives. As Divine Feminine awakening humans, we are constantly creating if we hold our power. We are the Creatrix as long as we continue to surrender to the Divine. We have a hard time letting go of how it plays out. The path is not linear. This is not accepted readily in our cultural mindset.
I am also observing in myself and the other women in the cohort the deep layers of systemic wounding by the culture not to mention the dysfunctional and highly patriarchal institutions many of us work in daily. Through ancestral lineage work, multidimensional work, and trauma work we make our way through those layers, cycling around the spiral path. Our souls have some work to do and the beauty is, we are some strong ones taking on this task of ascension. We do this work to prepare ourselves to lead others, be a healing influence, and/or leave lineages for generations to come. It’s going to be an incredible ride!
